Like most, I long to visit Iceland one day to experience what my favourite Icelandic bands and artists have experienced and have grew up on, as well as all the things that inspired them to make the kind of music that I really love. My fascination with Iceland all started with THE SUGARCUBES and their 1st claim to international stardom in the late 80s. the music vid for "birthday" was my 1st glimpse of the beautiful Icelandic landscapes and sceneries. Those wide, desolate open spaces really pulls you in and begs for inner meditation and a surreal feeling of calmness. In contrast, the Icelandic people come across as a very enthusiastic and creative bunch of folks. The language and the accents are also very charming, something I've been trying to learn every now and then in my spare time. I'm also higly impressed that the Icelandic people have endured this long living in a very volatile and continously evolving landscape full of volcanoes and surrounded by harsh seas, without any hint of worries nor doubt. Thank You Iceland for all the inspiration and talent that your tiny nation has produced in the last few decades. If ever I'm allowed to have dual citizenship, I'd choose Iceland straight away as my second home. Love You All! Long live Iceland. Bless Bless.
