I lived in Iceland for 2 years, before leaving my friends took me to Buri Cave. This cave was discovered in 2007 (I think) and is a 60 minute walk from the road with no signs & no trail. The entrance to the cave is barely large enough to squeeze through however once inside you are in old lava tubes. Some areas are as big as a football field and many stores tall.

It was one of the most amazing things I have seen. The photo show the entrance to the cave.
